Emergency Preparedness Update

Let me know what you think of this program …

Program description:

Emergency preparedness is often overlooked for us and our pets because “it will never happen to me” is a common misconception. As we head into the winter months it is time to think about what we can do in the event of an emergency. Whether it be a winter storm, earthquake, or fire, it is a good idea to be ready.

Dr. Blackwolf started teaching first aid to handlers of Search and Rescue dogs, but then Hurricane Katrina hit. It was an eye opener about what can happen if we are not prepared. People died or were endangered because they tried to save their pets and did not have a plan. So the Disaster Preparedness presentation was developed. We will discuss what you can do to be ready in the event of an emergency.
